Women's Health Online

Women's health consultations by video

A great deal of women's health work is history, charting and adjustment, and all of that transfers to video. It suits reviewing three months of cycle data, adjusting a herbal formula, working through what to ask at an upcoming appointment, and follow-up between in-person visits.

What it does not replace is hands-on treatment or physical examination. Nobody can assess your pulse or palpate anything through a screen, and a practitioner who implies otherwise is overselling.

And the red flags are the same online as in person: bleeding between periods or after menopause, an abrupt change in your cycle, new severe pain, or any breast change all need a doctor, and a remote consultation should end with that advice rather than a formula.
